"How my aprons are made"
All my aprons are made to withstand a LOT of washings. There are many shortcuts in sewing, some are to save time, some to save fabric & money...
I only use the ones that save me time!
Below are just a few of the nicer differences in my aprons...

All ties are double stitched for strength & durability whether they are attached to the waistband or straps.

Shoulder straps & bibs are 'top-stitched for strength and durability (plus, it just looks neater).

All ties are extra-long, and are pointed at the ends.

All open seams are double stitched~ One regular seam, and an 'overcast' stitch at the top edge for strength, durability and it helps to keep the fraying to a minimum.

All pockets are double stitched at the top corner 'stress points'.

Extra long 34" ties to make a very nice bow.

"Criss-cross straps for the bib aprons feed through a loop at the back ends of the waistband then tie. This system is more comfortable and basically 'self-adusting' if you are in-between sizes.
